Exploring Acrylic Paints

I took up painting with acrylics at the beginning of 2019. My first painting shown here was a mountain scene. I created it with a palette knife, following along with a YouTube video.

Since then I’ve been getting to know this medium via paintings inspired by public domain photos. The Matterhorn, pear still life, geisha, and umbrella scene are all my own interpretations of interesting photos I found online.

My Inspirations

The original images were photographed by Alan Rieder (Matterhorn), Margot Pandone (pear), Philippe Verheyden (Geiko), and Ryoji Iwata (rainy street scene) and were shared on Unsplash.
